Special thanks are due to Miriam and Sara at the Gothenburg City Library for their supportive roles in helping to stage my recent inter-disciplinary talk there on this peerless poet-mystic of Swedish letters, in which I discussed Tranströmer’s poem ‘Exorcism’  in relation to cinema, music and archetypal psychology. I am also very grateful to the actress and theatre director Rebecca Alverfors for her late agreement to appear and to read the poem in the original language. Taking its place in the context of my ongoing independent post-doctoral research project on poetics and evil, this talk will, I hope, be able to be worked up into a publishable paper in due course. Watch this space!

Welcome to the new website of Simon Solomon. Fervent thanks are due to Sara Larsson both for her good faith and sustained support with its construction, and her provision and skilful editing of the fixed page photographs, taken on the island of Hyppeln, Sweden, in 2015.

While I may be further tweaking the contents of my ‘trading pages’ as things evolve, which offer editing, teaching and consulting services in the fields of Poetry, Academic English and the Academic Humanities, it is anticipated that this site will also incorporate new writings, links, news updates, forthcoming publications, public appearances, and a planned suite of poetic/psychogeographic events in and outside Dublin in 2016 and beyond.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, interest and fragments of feedback.

Carpe noctem!
